Click Here to take survey The Red Poppy Festival marks the coming of spring and the arrival of Georgetown's colorful springtime visitor, the Red Poppy Flower. These beautiful flowers have been a part of Georgetown's heritage and landscape for over seventy years, a fact certified by the Texas legislature in naming Georgetown as the Red Poppy Capital of Texas. The 2009 Festival will burst into bloom on Saturday and Sunday, April 25th and April 26th in historic downtown Georgetown. A Georgetown and Central Texas tradition, the Red Poppy Festival is a time to enjoy family and friends, music, food and fun!
